I have been a Physical Therapist since 1990 and have experience working in the areas of Neurology, Orthopedics, Chronic Pain, Sports Medicine, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics

I became skilled in CranioSacral Therapy (CST) back in 2012, and ever since then I have found CST invaluable in helping clients who have been failed by traditional medicine alone

How did you get into CranioSacral?

I was treating a baby with severe torticollis for many months, and although he had made improvements, he wasn't able to turn his head. The severity of his impairment caused his pediatrician to even order x-rays to make sure he didn't have a fused vertebrae.

None of the traditional methods I had used in physical therapy were working with this particular baby. A colleague of mine, who happened to be trained in CranioSacral, offered to help. The treatment was so gentle, that I was skeptical that it would help him in any way.

However, in a matter of minutes, he let out a huge sigh, and turned his head completely! His mom and I broke into tears and I knew that I needed to learn this technique.

Although CranioSacral classes are typically difficult to find and infrequent, there was a class the next week in Madison, WI. So, I began my first three levels of training in CranioSacral.

That was 2012, and I love the technique so much that I started my own CST practice in December 2014, which is how Integrative Healing was created.

How did you get into gut health?

After a lifetime of my own personal health problems, which traditional medicine failed to solve, I was introduced to the concept of the gut-brain-heart axis

By addressing gut health and improving your gut microbiome, you heal the lining of your gut, allowing your body to do what it’s supposed to do. This also allows the nutrients from your foods (and medications and supplements) to actually be absorbed.

Additionally, the gut is the source of your immune system, as well as a major producer of your neurotransmitters. In healing the gut, you can have dramatic improvements in your mental wellness and immune system.

Within 2 months of balancing my gut-brain-heart axis, two chronic conditions were resolved and haven't returned since. A third chronic condition no longer requires medication, and allows me to live free of side effects of those medications.

Therefore, I have become a wellness partner in helping other people balance their gut-brain-heart axis.
